The man with a mission
The man with a mission
Had clouded his vision
With loads of indecision,
Insecurity and confusion.
Heart heavy and troubled
His efforts he redoubled
In HR and TA he dabbled
Yet, his peace of mind wobbled.
Many moons came and went
His energies quite spent
His horizons became bent
His reason was rent
By self-doubt that meant
In his self-worth a dent!
And then one fine day
On the Western Railway
In between work and play
He found that one may
In times of trouble pray
Or even, to a friend say
Whatever was on one’s mind in a way
That let in a light ray!
Deliberating, he stated
Too long have I procrastinated
I have really vacillated
In setting my goals
In clearing my vision
In seeing my vision
In living my mission!
On seeking clarification
He found justification,
the courage of conviction
the road to his destination
the object of his mission
support and consideration
value and admiration
love and affection.
I am whole, said he
I am valued said he
By those that I love
And by those whom I cherish
What more do I need
To really set me free?
No more confusion,
No more dissatisfaction.
No more an illusion
My vision and my mission
Are as clear as the day.
I have the power
My talents shall flower
I can reach the peak,
‘Tis the truth I speak.
I will always remember
The design of the Almighty
I shall want not, ever,
HE shall provide,
Forever.
